Yoga with Katie was born from yoga sessions with my niece, step-daughter and god-daughter in the holidays to keep them entertained - and calm! I now work with various local schools and preschools as well as running classes at my home studio and other local venues.
Yoga and mindfulness has been part of my life for over two decades now, it aids my relaxation and provides clarity of thinking. I am DBS certified and have completed Yoga Alliance approved training specialising in yoga ages 2-17 years.
Yoga and mindfulness offers children emotional benefits such as bringing peace and escapism. Teaching them how to de-stress and reduce anxiety, focus attention on the present moment, develop empathy and patience. It improves their communication and critical thinking skills, promoting flexibility, balance and strength to aid a more peaceful and healthy way of living.

We see so many children struggling to cope with the demands a young life puts on them and getting more and more stressed and anxious. I want to create healthy habits and build the skills they will need to help manage their own wellbeing for a calmer, happier future.

I make yoga fun, relaxing and engaging for children.
We see so many children struggling to cope with the demands a young life puts on them and getting more and more stressed and anxious. I want to create healthy habits and build the skills they will need to help manage their own wellbeing for a calmer, happier future.
I lead easy to follow yoga stories, games or practices to enable valuable time out from the chaos and enable children to slow down and recharge. Children will learn life long yoga, mediation and mindfulness techniques to practice at home and use at times when things feel a bit too much.
For children who need a more gentle one to one approach, for example if suffering from anxiety, I offer private classes to teach ongoing tools and techniques in a safe and calm space.
I teach yoga stories and games to ages 2-5 years and start introducing yoga sequencing for ages 6 and up. My sessions are usually grouped in ages to align with requirements and abilities of each age group.

I lead individual, group sessions, preschool, school and after school classes as well as school holiday classes and birthday parties.
Sessions last 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour and include yoga, mediation, mindfulness, breathing and relaxing time to settle before rejoining the real world. School holiday classes are extended sessions including games and crafts at 2 hours.
Mats are provides for all in person sessions.
I currently work in Crondall, Farnham, Fleet, Hook, Church Crookham and Alton but can travel as needed. Sessions can also be online.
